Relieve Back Pain

I gave birth to a baby girl on Friday, Saturday morning I had my “tubes tied”. I know the pain I’m in is from the gas they used during the surgery, what I need to know is how do I get relief? I was told to “pass gas” but well, that’s not exactly easy. I was also told to keep as mobile as I’m comfortable enough to be. I have been up and walking around today, and as soon as I tried to lay down and go to sleep, the pain was back full force. Is there anything I can take to try to relieve some of this gas? I have a 2 day old infant to care for, I need to rest when she allows and if I’m in this much pain there is no way for me to get any sleep! Last night in the hospital I had to sleep sitting up in bed, at home that’s not as likely of an option. Please help me!
I’d like to add that the gas isn’t just in my tummy. It’s free roaming throughout my body. I literally get gas pains in my shoulders and such… It’s quite painful and often takes my breath away. If anyone has any medicine suggestions, they do have to be safe for breastfeeding.

I’ve been taking 350mg of percocet every four hours as directed. Should I be feeling so much pain while on the percocet? Is there anything stronger I could ask for?

I actually dipped them in really cold water and it actually relieved the pain. It also makes the skin cells shrink, thus helps seal the exposed skin under the nails. Aww…relief! Ice water should be helpful to numb the pain, as well.

I’ve needed to have my gall bladder taken out for quite some time. How ever I skipped out on it. For the past couple of weeks, I’ve had severe pain .. bad.. in my upper stomache quarters. It’s so harsh I feel as though I can’t breathe.

I’m going to sett up an apt. in the morning. But is there any other way to relieve this pain?

I believe I’m getting this type of pain from my job, which requires a lot of sitting and usage of computer. Those muscles continually feek weak and in need of some kind of work out. Every time I do work out those muscles, it provides temporary relieve, but the pain comes back again. Again, nothing is torn. And it isn’t soreness.
