Definitlely ice!! Heat will increase swelling causing more pain. fill a small balloon with water and freeze. This will be a manageable size ice pack that is smooth to put on your tender face.

anti inflammatory pain killers as long as your not asthmatic and the day after the extraction use hot salt mouth wash to rinse and keep socket clean, tastes horrible but helps healing!

ice, ice, ice, take ur painkillers and relax…dont smoke or drink through a straw. take care
